🏀 HISTORY ON THE LINE, COMMUNITY BEHIND HER. 🏀 Tomorrow night, Averie Zinn will step onto the floor with the chance to do something incredibly rare, eclipse 2,000 career points, and place herself among the top 34 scorers in Michigan girls basketball history. Out of hundreds of thousands of girls who have played high school basketball in our state, this achievement puts her in the top one hundredth of one percent, truly elite company. But milestones like this are never accomplished alone. This moment reflects the countless hours in the gym, the teammates who trusted her, pushed her, and celebrated alongside her, the coaches who believed and challenged her, and the family, fans, and community who have filled the stands year after year. This is not just an individual accomplishment, this is a Genesee accomplishment. We invite everyone to be part of this special night as Averie and our Wolves take on Clio in a home tripleheader. 💚 Today: Wednesday, January 14th 🕓 Doors Open: 4:00 PM 🏀 Boys JV: 4:30 PM 🏀 Girls Varsity: 6:00 PM, Averie’s historic moment 🏀 Boys Varsity: approximately 7:30 PM Come early. Pack the gym. Be loud. Be proud. Let’s celebrate history together. Data note: Historical ranking is based on publicly reported Michigan girls basketball career scoring records. Participation estimates are derived from Michigan High School Athletic Association annual participation data across multiple decades and reflect conservative estimates of unique athletes. 🐺 Go Wolves.

🎶❄️ WINTER FANTASY HOLIDAY CONCERT REMINDER ❄️🎶
Presented by Jack P. Haas Elementary

We are so excited to welcome you to our Winter Fantasy Holiday Music Concert on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 (TOMORROW)! Our Wolves have practiced so hard, and we can’t wait for you to enjoy their amazing performance. 🐺💚

📅 Performance Times — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
✨ 9:30 AM — This performance will be livestreamed by G-TV
✨ 1:15 PM

⏰ Both performances will begin PROMPTLY at the times listed above.
To avoid disruptions and to honor our students’ hard work, late entry may not be permitted, and if you arrive late, you may miss the performance. Please plan accordingly.

📍 Location: Junior High Gym
🚪 IMPORTANT: Families may NOT enter through the Elementary building.
Please enter and exit ONLY through the outside Junior High Gym doors.

👉 Please share this information with any guests who plan to attend and may not receive our school messages.

🌟 To Help Us Accommodate Everyone:

Please attend only one performance.

All K–5 students will perform in both shows.

Students should dress their best.

Doors open 30 minutes early.

🎥 Livestream & Video Information

The 9:30 AM performance will be livestreamed for families and friends who cannot attend in person.

If you attend the 9:30 performance, please be mindful of the video camera, which will record the entire show.

After the livestream, the full concert video will be posted, and we will share the link so families can watch or rewatch the performance.

🙏 Audience Etiquette – Please Read Carefully

Our students have dedicated so much time and effort to this performance. To support them:

Please remain seated for the entire performance.

Avoid talking, standing, or moving around during performances.

Take photos or videos from your seat without blocking others.

Do not leave early out of respect for every class on stage.

🚭 A Kindly Word About Scents & Smoke

To ensure a comfortable environment for all students, staff, and guests,
please avoid smoking or vaping immediately before entering the gym.
Even brief exposure can linger indoors and be overwhelming for performers and families.
Thank you for helping us create a fresh, welcoming space for everyone.

🚗 If You Plan to Take Your Child Home After the 1:15 PM Performance:

You must stay until the performance is completely finished.

Students cannot be picked up from the Junior High Gym.

After the show, please drive to the MAIN ELEMENTARY ENTRANCE.

You must sign your child out in the Elementary Office.

Please be patient — many families choose this option, and we will work efficiently and safely.

We can’t wait to see you there as our Wolves share some holiday cheer! 🎄🐾✨

📣 Important Reminder for Haas Families – Tuesday, December 16th

Families, tomorrow, Tuesday, December 16th, we kindly ask that you avoid picking up students early if at all possible.

All Kindergarten–5th grade students will be in the Junior High gym practicing for our Winter Concert, and it is very important that all students are present for their dress rehearsal.

This rehearsal is their final practice before Wednesday’s performance, and having everyone there helps ensure a smooth and successful concert for all of our Wolves.

If an emergency arises and you do need to pick up your student early, please expect a wait, as students will need time to travel back from the Junior High gym and gather their belongings before dismissal.

Thank you so much for your support and flexibility—we truly appreciate it!

More information regarding Wednesday’s concert will be shared tomorrow. 💚🐾
