ParentSquare will become our new way to share important district, school, and classroom information with families. Over the next several days, you may begin receiving messages from your child's teacher through ParentSquare as we make the transition and ensure everything is working correctly.
What do families need to do?
If we have a valid email address and/or cell phone number on file for you, you can still receive ParentSquare notifications even if you have not registered for an account yet.
However, we strongly encourage all families to register for ParentSquare and download the ParentSquare app. Registering and signing in will give you the best access to your child's school and classroom communication and all of the features available through ParentSquare.

We are officially just ONE WEEK AWAY from welcoming our Haas families back into the building! We can't wait to see everyone at Open House on Thursday, August 20, from 5:30–7:00 PM!
📌 Please note: The Haas Elementary Office will close at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 20, as our staff prepares for the evening. The building and office will reopen for families when Open House begins at 5:30 PM.
There will be lots to see and do during Open House!
🍎 Find out who your child's teacher will be! Visit the classroom, meet the teacher, and help your child become familiar with where they will be going each day.
👣 Practice the morning routine together! We encourage parents/guardians to walk through the morning routine with their child—arrival → cafeteria → classroom—so students know their route and feel ready to do it independently on the first day of school.
🚌 Transportation Table: Stop by for information or questions about transportation for the upcoming school year.
🍎 Food Service Table: Get information about breakfast, lunch, and food service for the year.
🎒 FREE Backpack Giveaway: Students will have the opportunity to receive a free backpack to help them get ready for the new school year!

💚 Wolves Wellness: Stop by the Wolves Wellness table to learn more about the FREE health clinic available right here on site and the services available to our students and families.

🐾 Haas PTO: Be sure to stop by and meet our amazing PTO! Learn more about what they do for our students and staff and how you can get involved. We would love to have more families join us!
📅 And don't forget—our first day of school is Monday, August 24! We encourage families to use their child's regular arrival and dismissal routine beginning on the very first day. If your child will normally ride the bus, please have them ride the bus to and from school that day. If they will normally be dropped off and picked up, please use that routine. Consistency from Day One helps our students learn their routines and build confidence!
Students will walk to their classrooms independently on the first day, but don't worry—we will have Haas staff throughout the hallways ready to welcome them, help them find their way, and make sure every student gets safely to the right classroom. 💚

We are so excited to welcome our Haas families back for Open House on Thursday, August 20, from 5:30–7:00 PM!
During Open House, you'll find out who your child's teacher is, visit the classroom, meet our staff, and begin getting excited for a fantastic school year!
One of our biggest goals this year is to help every student feel confident and prepared for the first day of school. That's why we encourage families to practice the morning routine together while you're here.
We invite you and your child to walk through the morning routine just as it will happen on a regular school day:
🥣 Walk to the cafeteria where students who eat breakfast will go each morning, and where all students wait for the school day to begin. (Please note that breakfast will not be served during Open House.)
📚 Then, walk the route to your child's classroom so they become familiar with where they'll be going independently on the first day of school.
Our hope is that this practice helps students feel comfortable, confident, and excited when school begins. And if they forget where to go on the first day—no worries! 😊 We'll have plenty of Haas staff throughout the hallways to greet students, answer questions, and make sure everyone gets safely to their classroom.

For example:

If your child will need to take daily medication at school, medication authorization forms are now available in the office. Please stop by to pick up the necessary forms and complete them before the first day of school so we can ensure your child's needs are met.
If you have moved or your contact information has changed, please notify the school office as soon as possible so we can update your student's records.

The smiles, laughter, and excitement we saw throughout the day were truly priceless, and we could not have done it without you. We all had a wonderful day celebrating the amazing students of Haas Elementary! 🎉💚
What an incredible year it has been! From classroom celebrations and field trips to performances, special events, and everyday moments of learning, our students have accomplished so much. We are incredibly proud of our Haas Wolves and grateful for the support of our amazing families.
A special congratulations to our 5th graders as they prepare to take the next step in their educational journey. We look forward to celebrating them during Tuesday's Clap Out!

As we finalize plans for this exciting event, we still have a few donation and volunteer spots that need to be filled. If you've been thinking about helping, now is the perfect time!
⭐ If you signed up to donate an item, please send it to the elementary office by **Wednesday** if possible. This will help us take inventory, determine what we still need to purchase, and ensure everything is ready for our students' big celebration.

Good afternoon 5th grade families of students that are attending Camp Copneconic,
Camp waivers were sent home with students today. Please review, sign, and return all forms by Monday, June 1st.
We also encourage all families to join the Camp Copneconic Remind account to stay updated with important announcements, reminders, packing information, and camp details throughout the trip.

Students will participate in races, relays, tug-of-war, skill games, egg & spoon challenges, and more! 🏃♀️🏅

At drop off and pick up, please remain in your car and stay in the car line. Students should also remain in the vehicle until it is their turn to unload/load.
We are seeing an increase in families parking, getting out of vehicles, walking through traffic, or having students exit cars early — and this creates major safety concerns for students, staff, and families. The car line only works when everyone follows the same procedures.
Friends… it is MAY. We have almost made it to the finish line together. We KNOW you can do this. 😂
Please help us keep arrival and dismissal safe, smooth, and moving efficiently by:
• Staying in your vehicle
• Remaining in the car line
• Pulling forward as directed
• Avoiding parking/walking through the line areas unless you are using designated parking spaces and crosswalks
Our staff is out there every day rain, snow, wind, and sunshine doing their best to keep everyone safe and traffic moving. We truly appreciate your cooperation and partnership!

Band is a wonderful way for students to build confidence, learn teamwork and responsibility, make new friends, and be part of something special at Genesee.
