🐺💚 Flu Reminder: Help Keep Our Wolves Healthy! Haas Families, We are beginning to see cases of influenza (flu) in our school community, and we want to work together to help keep our students, staff, and families healthy. Flu can spread very easily, especially in a school setting. Please watch your child for signs of illness before sending them to school. Flu symptoms often come on suddenly and may include: * 🤒 Fever or chills * 🤕 Headache or body aches * 😷 Cough * 🤧 Runny or stuffy nose * 😣 Sore throat * 😴 Unusual tiredness or weakness * 🤢 Sometimes vomiting or diarrhea, especially in children If your child is sick, please keep them home. Children with a fever should remain home until they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and are feeling well enough to participate in a normal school day. We are also reminding our Wolves to help stop the spread of germs by: 🧼 Washing hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds 💪 Coughing or sneezing into a tissue or their elbow 🙌 Keeping hands away from their eyes, nose, and mouth 🥤 Not sharing drinks, water bottles, food, or utensils 🧴 Using hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available 😴 Getting plenty of rest and drinking lots of fluids If your child will be absent due to illness, please call the Haas Elementary Office at 810-591-2101. A doctor’s note can be provided so the absence can be medically excused. 💚 Need medical support? Our Mott Children’s Wolves Wellness Center is conveniently located right here at school. Families can call 810-213-8190 with questions or to schedule an appointment. Thank you for helping us keep our Haas Wolves healthy! 🐺💚

🐺 Arrival and Dismissal Safety Reminder

At arrival, please use the drop-off line and keep your child in your vehicle until staff begin welcoming students at 7:45 a.m. Do not park and walk your child across the parking lot or to the ramp. Walking between cars and across the car line is unsafe.

Adults should remain in their vehicles during both arrival and dismissal. Our procedures are designed to keep students, families, and staff safe, and we need everyone to follow them.

Thank you to the many families who remain in their vehicles at dismissal rather than walking up to the doors. Please display your green car sign in your passenger-side window so staff can identify your vehicle quickly.
