Good morning, Haas Families,
We’ve noticed some safety concerns during morning drop-off that we need your help with. 🚗✨
👉 Families should remain in the car rider line to drop off students in the morning. This keeps traffic moving safely and ensures all students can enter the building without unnecessary delays.
👉 If you are parking because you have a Head Start or GSRP student, please use the Junior High/High School parking lot and walk down to the door to check them in.
When families park in the elementary lot and leave before 8:00 AM, it stops the entire line from moving, creating backups for those following the correct procedure. Even simply walking across the lot causes cars to stop, and we have already had incidents this year where students have run across while cars were trying to leave. This is extremely unsafe. 🚫
✅ The safest and smoothest way for students to arrive each morning is for families to stay in their car and follow the drop-off line. Thank you for helping us keep all of our Wolves safe and for keeping our mornings running smoothly! 💚🐾

Dear Parents and Guardians,
We need your help in making sure our students are at school for the entire school day. Lately, we have noticed an increase in students leaving early, which means they are missing important instructional time.
Every time a student leaves early, not only do they lose valuable learning in their own classroom, but it also disrupts the instruction for the entire class when we call them down to the office. Those last minutes of the day are often used to wrap up lessons, review key concepts, and prepare for the next day’s success.
To put it into perspective:
Our dismissal time is 3:13 PM.
If a child is picked up just 30 minutes early every day (at 2:43 PM), they will miss a total of 90 hours of school by the end of the year.
That’s the equivalent of nearly 15 full school days of learning lost!
We understand that appointments and emergencies come up, but we ask that you please make every effort to schedule those outside of school hours and keep your child in school until 3:13 whenever possible.
Together, we can ensure that all students have the best opportunity to learn and grow.
Thank you for partnering with us to make every minute count!
With gratitude,
Mrs. Cummings

Haas Reminder for Dismissal:
Families, if you need to assist your child with their car seat buckle, please pull all the way forward and park in a spot where you are not blocking other cars from exiting the school parking lot before getting out of your vehicle. When cars stop in line and drivers get out, it holds up the flow of dismissal for everyone.
Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe, smooth, and efficient for all of our Wolves!

Attention Haas: PLEASE STOP forming two lines until you reach the turn by the elementary building. When cars double up before that point, it blocks staff from entering the school, and this happened again today.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep traffic moving safely and ensuring staff can get into the building.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep traffic moving safely and ensuring staff can get into the building.

Attention Haas: This morning, we did have a few staff members unable to enter our parking lot because two lines of traffic were forming before the bend in the lot. To keep arrival and dismissal running safely and smoothly, this area must remain one single line until you turn the corner for drop-off.
Please take a moment to review our [Arrival & Dismissal Newsletter: https://secure.smore.com/n/b5jmf] for clarification. We also ask that you share this information with anyone who may be assisting with drop-off or pick-up to help us ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

If you are currently in our drop-off line, please pull up as far as you can to make room for more vehicles. DO NOT from 2 lines until you turn into the bend in our parking lot right next to our building. DO NOT BLOCK staff from entering the parking lot!

📚🐾 Haas Wolves—The First Day is Tomorrow! 🐾📚
The first day of school is TOMORROW, Monday, August 25th 🎉
Our school day runs from 8:05 AM – 3:13 PM each day.
🚪 Morning Arrival:
• The ramp door will be open from 7:45–8:00 AM for students going to the cafeteria for breakfast.
• All other student drop-offs should take place at the main elementary doors starting at 8:00 AM.
⏰ Tardies:
Students are considered late after 8:05 AM. If a student arrives after this time, a parent/guardian must sign them in at the elementary office.
✨ During the first week, we will make exceptions since we know traffic will be heavier as families learn the procedures.
📌 Important Reminder:
There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, August 29th or Monday, September 1st for Labor Day Weekend.
We can’t wait to see all of our Wolves back tomorrow—let’s make it a great year! 💚🤍
